St Joseph Pilgrim Icon Week
Council 7052 will be hosting the St. Joseph Icon at Epiphany Cathedral during the week of Tuesday, April 9, 2024 through Monday, April 15, 2024.
The icon, made by Elizabeth Bergeron and based on a drawing by Alexandre Sobolev, is of St. Joseph holding the child Jesus. It is taken from St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal, Canada.
This is part of the KofC Pilgrim Icon Prayer Program, a longstanding tradition for the KofC, in which every few years a new icon is selected to inspire the Knights and their communities.
Copies of the icon are distributed to each of the Knights’ more than 75 jurisdictions, and travel from council to council.
Councils at parishes will use the icon as centerpieces for “rosary-based” prayer services. Our Lady of Guadalupe was the first icon during the conception of the program in 1979. Since the initiation of the program, almost 175,000 council and parish prayer services have been held with about 22 million participants.
Please join us for this important event. More information will be forthcoming at the Epiphany Cathedral website as the time draws closer.
